Congratulations to Nathaniel Linga, Undergraduate Student from the University of Toronto, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology for joining the NDA Research Program, under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Prevot.
Nathaniel will contribute to the design and analysis of data obtained from research projects carried by Dr. Ashley Bernardo and Mr. Michael Marcotte. In brief, Nathaniel will contribute to determining the impact of newly designed drugs on anxiety-like behavior, and cognitive functions in preclinical models. Applications of this work will span over different fields, such as research on developing novel antidepressant and research on developing pro-cognitive treatment in the context of Alzheimer’s disease.
Also, Nathaniel will contribute into the establishment of a platform at CAMH, in order to assess cognitive functions in rats, and determine the validity of treatment options in the context cognitive deficits due to chronic alcohol consumption.
Welcome to the Lab!
